The Grand County Historical Society Annual Dinner was held on Saturday, November 4th. Over 60 Grand County residents gathered for a cocktail hour, and a delicious buffet dinner provided by Dean’s Public House. During the cocktail hour the guests enjoyed looking at historical photos of skiing at Winter Park during the 1940’s and 1950’s. The guest speaker was Hal O’leary (pictured below) founder of the National Sports Center for the Disabled. Hal told his history with the NSCD program from 1970 until today. The evening ended with a standing ovation for Hal for all his passion and dedication for providing outdoor recreation to individuals with disabilities.
